Is there a way in Ajax to call multiple pages with one request

I want it to work with IE and Firefox
I am using Javascript pages and instead of using html I am using php pages for the main data so the calls will be page.php or something along those lines.

I have been using phpDesigner for the code writing and xampp to test out my code and I want to make sure I figure this out before I go trying, writing, and testing the code out.

Here is my ajax function

function submitForm()
    var xhr;
    try {  xhr = new ActiveXObject('Msxml2.XMLHTTP');   }
    catch (e)
        try {   xhr = new ActiveXObject('Microsoft.XMLHTTP');    }
        catch (e2)
          try {  xhr = new XMLHttpRequest();     }
          catch (e3) {  xhr = false;   }
    xhr.onreadystatechange  = function()
         if(xhr.readyState  == 4)
              if(xhr.status  == 200)
                  document.ajax.dyn="Received:"  + xhr.responseText;
                 document.ajax.dyn="Error code " + xhr.status;

   xhr.open(GET, "page being called",  true);

Thanks in advance
